Dear Supporters,

You recently witnessed or heard about the tenth collaboration of our annual event, 48Hours in...™ Harlem, a twist on the traditional 24- hour play festival.  2019 was a huge year for us, we embarked upon our very first National Summer.  Over 6 weeks, we traveled from Detroit to Winston-Salem, ending our summer back home in Harlem.

Each festival brought together 6 playwrights + 6 directors + 18 actors to re-conceive classic plays from the African Diaspora, or to be inspired by poets native to Detroit, for example.   All over the course of one weekend in our host city.

This year, due to social distancing guidelines to slow down the spread of COVID-19, we cancelled our 4th Annual 48Hours in...™El Bronx in collaboration with Pregones/PRTT that was supposed to have been in April and our 2nd Annual 48Hours in...™Detroit  was supposed to have been at the end of this month, with our partners from Detroit Public Theatre.

We are pleased however, that our 11th Annual 48Hours in...™ Harlem is BACK in Harlem on Sunday, August 21, 2022 with TWO shows at 7pm and 9:30pm   BUY YOUR TICKETS HERE!

Your support contributes to be the growth of our annual institution – helping us make yet another evening showcasing amazing black theatrical talent in New York City (and now across the nation) possible, so that a line will once again form along 147th Street, inside of Old Main or down 5th Avenue, in front of National Black Theatre, as it did down St. Nicholas Avenue in front of HSA Theater, our first year, in 2011.

If you make a tax-deductible donation to our efforts, your contribution will be acknowledged and greatly appreciated.

Harlem9 is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the purposes of 48Hours in... Harlem must be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Please send contributions to: Sandra A. Daley-Sharif, 1855 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd, # 1C, NYC, NY 10026. Checks should be made payable to Fractured Atlas, with “On behalf of Harlem9” in the memo line.
