You recently witnessed or heard about the ninth collaboration of our annual event, 48Hours in...™ Harlem, a twist on the traditional 24- hour play festival.  This was the culminating event in our National Summer.  Over the last 6 weeks, we have traveled from Detroit to Winston-Salem and we end our summer back home in Harlem.



Each festival brought together 6 playwrights + 6 directors + 18 actors to re-conceive classic plays from the African Diaspora, or to be inspired by poets native to Detroit, for example.   All over the course of one weekend in our host city. 



Your support contributes to be the growth of our annual institution – helping us make yet another evening showcasing amazing black theatrical talent in New York City (and now across the nation) possible, so that a line will once again form along 147th Street, inside of Old Main or down 5th Avenue, in front of National Black Theatre, as it did down St. Nicholas Avenue in front of HSA Theater, our first year, in 2011.

Harlem9 is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions for the purposes of 48Hours in... Harlem must be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
